FAQs

Do you take on all styles of tattooing?

We have many varied styles covered in the shop! Chances are, whatever style you’re into we can do it. If we have no one who tattoos in the style you request, chances are we know someone from another shop who would be a good fit, and we will refer you to them. Our goal is for you to get the best tattoo possible!

Will you copy tattoos?

If you bring us someone else’s custom tattoo we will not copy it. The reason for this is the artist who created that custom piece made it specifically for their client. It would be unethical for us to take that design that the client paid for and use it. We are happy to draw you something in the same style, but make it custom for you!

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

If this is your first tattoo we know it can be kind of mysterious and nerve wracking! Here are some pointers whether it’s your first time or you’ve spent plenty of time in the chair.

  • Make sure you have your unexpired, government issued photo ID. We cannot tattoo you without this documentation, even if we know for a fact you’re of age, the law does not bend on this one.

  • Eat a solid meal before your appointment, it helps regulate your body sugar, you can also bring snacks to help keep your sugar up. We recommend eating whatever your favorite food is, and eating a lot of it, about an hour or two before your appointment.

  • Be hydrated, well hydrated skin is that much easier to tattoo, plus it’s good for ya!

  • Get a good night’s rest, if you’re tired or hungover it makes getting tattooed that much more difficult.

  • Wear clothing you are comfortable in, and bring a hoodie or a sweater just incase you get cold.

Do you take deposits for appointments?

We do require a deposit to set up an appointment. This deposit is $100.00 for a quarter day, and $300.00 for a half or a full day. Your deposit goes towards the cost of your tattoo, and is taken off the cost of your final session. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, and you will forfeit your deposit if you cancel less than 48 hours from your appointment, or if you no call/no show. Deposits are also forfeit if you reschedule more than three times.

What is a consult?

Consults are always free of charge. For some smaller and most larger pieces we prefer to set up an in person consult. This way we can sit together and do some sketching. It also gives us time to discuss the proper sizing and placement for your tattoo. Sizing and placement can be very difficult to work out via email, so in-house consults work well for hammering out the details. If you are from out of state or are unable to come in for a consult it’s no worries! We can work it out over email, in house is only preferred not required. At the end of your consult, you will be able to put down a deposit and book your tattoo date if you would like to move forward with the tattoo.
